Stray light correction matrix

for JETI specbos spectroradiometer

specbos 2501 and specbos 1211-2  was developed with special consideration of low stray light. However, array spectrometers are limited in stray light to about three orders of magnitude (10-3) in contrast to stationary double monochromators where a stray light supression up to 10-6 can be achieved.

In order to reduce stray light in array spectroradiometers while taking advantage of their portability, a stray light correction method according to Yuqin Zong et al. (Simple spectral stray light correction method for array spectroradiometers, Appl. Opt. 45,1111-1119 (2006)) can be applied.

measurement with and without stray light correction matrix

Such possibility is offered for specbos 2501, specbos 2501-UVspecbos 1211-2  as well as specbos 1211-UV-2. For this purpose, the scattered light behavior of the respective instrument will be measured at JETI using pure monochromatic radiation and used after user´s measurements in the form of a scattered light matrix (SLM) to correct the achieved results. This is possible in the supplied radiometric software JETI LiVal  as well as by means of DLLs for own programming.
